- Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems design for low, medium and high velocity applications.
- Plumbing and Piping systems design for waste disposal, kitchen, process, steam and specialty systems and applications.
- Electrical Power and Lighting systems design including normal and standby power, lighting, intrusion and fire alarm (provided via a preferred group of subconsultants representing regional and national experience).
- Design of Prototypical MEP systems and Design Criteria for use on Design Build projects and for use in site adaptation on future projects regionally or nationwide.
- Dry Utility coordination services with dry utilities on large sites, including those with multiple buildings and multiple point of service, to minimize conflicts and to identify cost responsibilities between the dry utility companies and the owner.
FACILITIES SYSTEM CONDITION, CAPACITY AND OPERATION ASSESSMENTS
- Facilities Assessment Inspections and Due Diligence Inspections to determine feasibility of renovation or conversion of systems to new occupancies, and to determine overall system performance expectancy.
- Building Systems Surveys and Under-performance Analyses to establish actual system operating parameters compared to original design parameters, calculate inefficiencies, design and implement corrective actions.
- System Operation Assessments to determine the effect of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) procedures on performance, life expectancy and energy efficiencies.
SMOKE CONTROL AND FIRE ALARM SYSTEM DESIGN
- Smoke Control and Contaminant Ventilation systems including evacuation, containment and filtration. Additionally, Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) Analysis is available via a preferred group of fire protection subconsultants.
- Fire Protection Sprinkler systems criteria design including water, dry chemical and inert gases. Full design services including National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) certification available via select fire protection subconsultants.
- Fire Alarm systems including design new systems and upgrade or expansion of existing systems. Consulting services includes analysis of code requirements and requirements imposed by local officials.
ENERGY AUDITS, ANALYSIS, ASSOCIATED UPGRADES AND RELATED SERVICES
- Energy Analysis and Optimization Studies to determine probable costs and savings available to the owner via energy retrofits and upgrades.
- Design Cost Optimization and Value Engineering to assure that design elements are matched to the application without unnecessary over design.
- Equipment Selection and Operation Analysis to optimize equipment selection as determined by operating and maintenance life cycle costs.
- Computer Simulation and Modeling for existing and proposed facilities to determine potential savings from system and operational modifications.
- Analysis of New Technologies to determine feasibility of applications, investigate published operating data and determine cost/payback relationships.
